A subdomain such as shop.example.com can serve a separate section or application.
Steps
- Choose the parent domain and open Subdomain Management.
- Create the subdomain and check the document root assigned to it.
- Add the matching DNS record at the authoritative provider if it is not created there automatically, then upload the intended content.
- Verify the subdomain and its SSL certificate. Before removing it later, back up its files and review whether the removal form also deletes its directory.
Good to know
An external DNS provider will not automatically receive changes made only in the hosting panel. Removing a subdomain should be coordinated with any application, email link, or redirect that still refers to it.
