Your registrar delegates DNS to nameservers. DNS records must be edited at the provider currently authoritative for the domain.
Steps
- Open your hosting service in Client Portal and note the nameservers listed in Hosting Information.
- Check the domain nameserver settings at its registrar.
- If the domain uses Domatic nameservers, manage its hosting DNS in Domatic Control Panel. If it uses an external DNS provider, edit records there.
- Before moving nameservers, copy all required website, email, verification, and other records to the new DNS provider.
Good to know
The nameservers displayed for a hosting plan are not proof that the registrar currently uses them. Changing nameservers can affect email as well as the website. Contact Support if you are unsure which DNS zone is live.
