Add or edit A, AAAA, CNAME, and TXT records Print

  • domains, Domatic
  • 0

Use DNS Management only when Domatic hosts the authoritative DNS zone. Otherwise make the change with your external DNS provider.

Steps

  1. Select the domain in Domatic Control Panel and open DNS Management.
  2. Record the existing value before editing. Choose A for an IPv4 address, AAAA for IPv6, CNAME for an alias, or TXT for a text value supplied by a service.
  3. Enter the name and value using the format shown by the form. Avoid adding a second domain suffix to a fully qualified name.
  4. Save and verify the record after its cached TTL has expired.

Good to know

Do not add an AAAA record unless the destination supports IPv6. A CNAME normally cannot coexist with other record types at the same name. Keep unrelated email and validation records intact.
