A forwarder sends incoming messages to another destination. Decide whether you also need a local mailbox copy.
Steps
- Open Forwarders for the source domain.
- Create a forwarder with the source address and the destination email address.
- Check for an existing mailbox or forwarder with the same address and confirm the intended delivery behavior.
- Send a test from an unrelated email account and verify arrival at the destination.
Good to know
Avoid forwarding loops, such as address A forwarding to B while B forwards to A. External providers may reject forwarded mail because of authentication or spam checks. If delivery fails, send Support the bounce message with personal content removed.
