Review separate transfer accounts after a project ends or when an authorized user changes.

Steps

  1. Open FTP Management and identify the account by its full username and directory scope.
  2. Use its password action to rotate the login when continued access is needed.
  3. Use the suspend option if available for a temporary pause, or remove the login when it is no longer required.
  4. Read the confirmation carefully and avoid any option that deletes website files unless that is your intention. Verify the main website still loads.

Good to know

Removing an FTP login should be distinguished from deleting its files. A developer may also have application or Client Portal access that must be reviewed separately.
