Create a restricted FTP account Print

Create a separate transfer login for a developer instead of sharing your main hosting credentials.

Steps

1. Open FTP Management in Domatic Control Panel and choose the account-creation action.
2. Enter a username and a unique password.
3. Choose the smallest directory scope required for the task, such as the relevant website folder.
4. Save the account and give the authorized user the displayed login details through a secure method. Test the permitted directory before handing over work.

Good to know

FTP accounts are not Client Portal users. They also do not automatically provide SSH or SFTP access. Ask Support which encrypted transfer options are enabled for your service, and remove temporary access when the work is finished.
