Use the transfer hostname and account details supplied for your hosting service. Secure transfer settings depend on what is enabled for that account.
Steps
- Create a new connection profile in your file-transfer client.
- Enter the server hostname and the complete FTP username shown in Domatic Control Panel.
- Select the supported encrypted protocol. For explicit FTP over TLS, use the server-provided port; SFTP is a different service and requires separate support.
- Connect, verify that the certificate or host identity is expected, and open the intended website folder before uploading.
Good to know
Do not accept an unexpected identity warning or switch to unencrypted FTP just to make a connection work. Contact Support with the hostname, protocol, and error text. Keep passwords out of screenshots.
