Only remove a database after confirming that no live website or scheduled process uses it.
Steps
- Review application configuration and identify the full database name.
- Export a backup and store it safely.
- In database management, select the unused database and read the removal confirmation carefully.
- After removal, test any related websites and review whether a now-unused database user should also be removed.
Good to know
A name that looks old does not prove a database is unused. Deleting a database removes its tables and content. If the panel cannot rename a database directly, plan a create-and-migrate workflow instead of editing underlying hosting metadata.
