A restore can overwrite newer data. Decide which components and recovery point you need before starting.
Steps
- Make a current backup where possible and note any orders, messages, or uploads created after the older backup.
- Open Create/Restore Backups and select the completed archive. Upload an external archive to the supported backup location if required.
- Choose only the components you intend to restore, then review the confirmation and start the restore.
- Wait for completion and test the website, database connections, and mailbox access affected by the restore.
Good to know
For a business-critical site or uncertainty about archive compatibility, ask Support to plan the recovery. Restoring files alone may not restore a database-driven application to a consistent point in time.
