Keep a recoverable copy before changing a website, database, or email configuration.
Steps
- Open Create/Restore Backups in Domatic Control Panel.
- Choose the required components. A complete recovery may need website files, database data and settings, mail data, and account settings.
- Start the backup and wait for the completion notification.
- Download the completed archive to a secure location outside the hosting account and verify that the file is present and readable.
Good to know
An unfinished job is not a backup. Check available storage first, especially on a large account. A copy stored only on the same server cannot protect against every server-level problem. Ask Support about the backup options included with your plan.
