The transfer lock controls whether a registrar transfer can proceed. It is separate from website SSL and domain renewal.
Steps
- Open the domain details in the Client Portal.
- Select the registrar lock or transfer lock section.
- For a transfer you initiated, unlock the domain only when you are ready and obtain the authorization code through the available domain action or Support.
- After cancelling or completing a planned change, review the lock status and keep transfer protection enabled when a transfer is not needed.
Good to know
Unlocking does not bypass registrar transfer restrictions or automatically start a transfer. Keep authorization codes private. If the control is unavailable, Support can check the registrar requirements for your domain.
